WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump received a message of gratitude from Dr Oz, 64, for his reaction to the medical emergency of the physician’s granddaughter, Philomena Jovanovic, during a White House ceremony last week.

The 11-year-old was present at the Oval Office for her grandfather’s swearing-in ceremony on Friday, April 18, when she suddenly fainted, as per the Irish Star.

At the time, Dr Oz, whose full name is Mehmet Cengiz Oz, was inducted as the new administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The health issue resulted in chaos and Donald Trump also had to cut his speech.

However, Philomena is doing fine now as per her grandfather and mother, who posted updates, especially thanking the president.

Dr Oz tweeted, “Thank you to everyone who has checked in on our granddaughter Philomena after her eventful afternoon in the Oval Office.”

 

He said he was “grateful to report she recovered quickly and was treated to delicious Navy Mess soft serve and some very special time speaking with President Trump while they explored the treasure drawer of the Resolute Desk together.”

“It was an honor to be sworn in as @CMSGov administrator by my dear friend and colleague @RobertKennedyJr with my family by my side, and I look forward to our team working tirelessly to help all Americans enjoy access to the health they deserve,” he concluded.

Dr Oz’s daughter says Donald Trump ‘went out of his way to make her children feel comfortable’

Dr Mehmet Oz’s daughter Daphne Oz also took to Instagram to write about her child.

She said, “Thank you to everyone checking in on Philo after her big day in the Oval Office 🙏❤️ We are so grateful it was nothing serious, and she bounced right back — with a trip for some delicious Navy Mess soft serve for good measure!!”

The 39-year-old, who shares two more daughters, Giovanna Ines and Domenica Celine, and son Jovan with her husband John Jovanovic, also thanked Trump, saying, “Most of all, thank you to President Trump who went out of his way to make both our children feel comfortable in a stressful situation.”

“He was exceedingly warm, caring and generous as he spent personal time with each of them at the Resolute Desk and gifted them treasures to take home. A more than memorable day at the White House for all of us!!” she added.
