Beyoncé has finally won Album of the Year at the Grammys.

The Grammy Awards return for the 67th year in a row to honor some of the most extraordinary achievements and talent in modern music history, and Queen Bey is no stranger to music’s biggest night of the year.

While Beyoncé received 11 nominations this year, the main topic of the night has been whether or not the 43-year-old will finally win the ultimate prize—Album of the Year, one of four general field categories alongside Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

As one of Destiny’s Child’s three members in 1997, the 43-year-old has gained global recognition as a solo artist and holds the record for the most Grammy nominations in history, having received 99 nominations.

She is also the most-awarded performer of all time, having won 32 Grammys.

She is now adding two more awards to her already impressive collection, having won Country Album of the Year and Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter.

The renowned Album of the Year award has long been a source of contention for Beyoncé, who has previously lost out to Taylor Swift.

Tonight’s Grammy Awards ceremony, held in LA’s Crypto Arena, has been busy raising funds for people impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires, so it was natural that the primary prize was presented by the LAFD, whom the singer thanked upon accepting the honor alongside her daughter Blue Ivy.

“I simply feel so fulfilled and honored…” It’s been many years,” she stated as she accepted the medal.

Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé’s eighth studio album, is the second installment of a trilogy of concept albums in which the artist travels through America’s archives to pay tribute to Black pioneers throughout US musical and cultural history.

It was the first album by a Black woman to top the Top Country Albums list, and Bey received 11 Grammy nods tonight, making it the third most-nominated record in Grammy history.

Her nominations were Best Country Solo Performance for ’16 Carriages,’ Best Country Duo/Group Performance with Miley Cyrus for ‘II Most Wanted’ (which she won), Best Country Song for ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ and Song of the Year.

She also received a nomination in the sister category, Best Americana Performance, for ‘Ya Ya.’.

Bey defeated strong opposition from Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Andre 3000.
