According to reports, DeGeneres had been house hunting in England in early October before finding the countryside property she and de Rossi now call home.

Since their move, the pair have embraced the local scene, even making appearances at The Farmer’s Dog pub, run by TV personality Jeremy Clarkson, where they mingled with the likes of Lisa Hogan, James Blunt, and members of The Corrs.
Despite rumors of recent flooding in the area, DeGeneres reassured followers that their farmhouse was safe, posting in December, “P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood.”
